Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Coast
An aircraft soaring above a crowded southern California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Recordings uploaded on social media depict the helicopter beginning to twirl over the shoreline then plunging towards the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a steps close to the coastal road.
First Aid Update
Emergency responders said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
